This work is one of the first in which the joy of painting and the thrill of success really burst through. I felt that I could truly succeed at painting. The painting came out well almost by accident. I put paint on the canvas and – look – everything I wanted to show is right there as proof. This oil painting was made in 2023.

I’ve been able to follow the life of swans for years – those majestic birds have always fascinated me. Now they’ve earned a worthy place on a large, striking canvas, where they get to guard their territory. Below is a newer version of the swans. Both swan paintings are large and eye-catching. This orange sunset was painted in 2024.

The oil painting below is a little darker. It reflects the pollution of our planet. We all have to live in the middle of waste. In this painting, too, the swan lands among the rubbish.

In this work I took my first steps in painting waves; the movement of the sea is already starting to take shape in the waves. In the two previous paintings I didn’t capture the waves of the sea, only the reflections in the calm water by the shore.
