Frequently asked questions

Will the bells ring when my screen is locked?

Yes. The bells keep ringing in the background, so you can lock your phone or let the screen turn off in Timer mode.

Will the bells ring if my iPhone is on silent?

Yes. Meditation Bells plays its bells like a music app, so you hear them even with the silent switch on. Set the volume with the volume buttons before you start.

How do I keep notifications from disturbing me?

Turn on a Focus mode or Do Not Disturb before you start. Apps cannot change these settings, but Meditation Bells can remind you: open Options and turn on Distraction reminder.

What are focus reminders?

Single bells that sound at random moments during your meditation, as a gentle nudge back to your breath. Turn them on in Options and choose how many you want. The default is about one per minute.

What is the difference between Slow Pulse and Timer?

Slow Pulse hides the clock and slowly fades the screen between black and gold, and the screen stays on. Timer shows the remaining time and lets the screen turn off normally. In Slow Pulse, tap the screen to show the Pause and End buttons.

Does Meditation Bells collect any data?

No. Your settings are stored only on your device. There is no account, no ads and no tracking. See the Privacy Policy.
